EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

An integral part of the teaching of the Centro is the extracurricular activity that allow students to participate in Italian life and culture. In addition, the secretary's office supplies information about cultural activities in the city. In this way, the student always has up to the minute information about the theater, concerts events, museum opening hours and activities of various cultural centers.

Guided Visits

Tours of the city are given in a simple Italian so even beginners will understand. There are visits to the museums, churches, monuments and squares of one of the most beautiful cities in the world brought to life through historical and curious anecdotes. In the summer months, the School organizes bicycle tours.

Trips

Every month on weekends there are daytrips (in private buses) accompanied by one of the school's teachers in order to visit and explore the squares, streets and artistic beauty of important towns in northern and central Italy, such as Venezia, Ravenna, Pienza, Siena, S.Gimignano, Pisa, Volterra , Urbino, Perugia, Assisi, Roma and Florence respectively, as well as the splendor of the Chianti and Castelli countryside, the Maremma or the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Sports

Students have the opportunity to meet other Italians with whom they can talk and share sporting feats. The Centro regularly organizes Soccer training sessions and matches on Saturday afternoon, and Volleyball in a private gym there is also the chance to go swimming, play tennis and even golf at special student rates.

Meetings and parties

Parties, dinners and meetings are organized every month, to which Italian students are invited. These enjoyable and interesting occasions are a good chance to get to know other people, to deepen one's knowledge of Italian life and to put one's Italian to practice without worrying too much about the grammar.

Musical evenings

On the School premises there is a handsome salon furnished with a baby grand piano. Students who play an instrument may contact the School office for permission to practice in the salon or to express their availability to perform there in recital. All students are obviously invited to the classical, symphonic, operatic and chamber music concerts organized each month.

Evenings at the Opera

In Summer the Center organizes special evenings for its students in the events at the Arena in Verona and the Terme di Caracalla in Rome. Students travel on reserved buses.
