Internship Program

We at Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante Alighieri are entering its 3rd year of offering Internship opportunities to foreign nationals and international students from beginner to advanced levels of Italian language. Our internship model is based on a belief that international exposure has vital and tangible value in the global professional community and our students receive hands on training and support during their internship program.

IN1

Number of hours: 80 hours Italian language in groups with a maximum of 13 students per class.

This includes one month of intensive internship and language courses. The intern is required to take both the internship and language courses simultaneously. 4 hours of group Italian language course in the morning and 4 hours of internship in the afternoon. In this level of internship, the intern has the opportunity to extend their months working or studying for the additional fees. (This model applies to both students with beginner or advanced knowledge of Italian). This program is ideal for CLIDA students who have completed all of our levels and desire to continue using the language or furthering their knowledge of the language with professional experience.

IN4

Number of hours: 160 hours Italian language in groups with a maximum of 13 students per class.
80 hours including preparation course for the Italian professional exam (CLIDA P), business Italian, Italian culture course with emphasis on business and economics, business session with experts in area of interest in groups of 1-5 students per class.

This internship extends for 4 months. 2 months prerequisite language training and 2 months of internship to follow. Students may continue and prepare for the CLIDA TC examination. This internship model is excellent for students who have some knowledge of the Italian language or are fluent in another Romance language and who wishes to become fluent and gain professional experience in the Italian culture.

IN6

Number of hours: 240 hours Italian language in groups with a maximum of 13 students per class.
120 hours including preparation course for the Italian business exam (CLIDA TC), business Italian, Italian culture course with emphasis on business and economics, business session with experts in area of interest in groups of 1-5 students per class.

This internship extends for 6 months. Full immersion in the Italian language for 3 months which includes 80 hours classroom training per month plus Italian preparatory training for the CLIDA TC exams. Once completed and successfully passed the CLIDA TC exams, students will begin their 3 month internship program in the field they originally applied for. This internship program is ideal for beginners who want to be proficient in the Italian language.

PRICES

Students are responsible for their own airfare and housing - though we provide students with assistance in finding low cost apartments within the location of their internship

The program offers international University and College students the possibility of developing communication skills, gain a different perspective of living and working in a different culture and develop effective functional skills in a specific field with the additional bonus of a second language!

Education requirements: Open to all students at undergraduate junior to senior levels, recent graduates, and graduate students. Age:18 years and over. Level of Italian: At least an Intermediate level.

Italian Preparatory courses In order to be eligible for an internship program, as specified above, a student must have an understanding of the Italian language at an intermediate level. CLIDA assists students by preparing them linguisticly by offering the following:

Levels: 9 levels are available. Beginners to advanced. Students can commence at the beginners level but must reach the intermediate level before commencing internship.

Internships are carefully planned and each student is placed in a working environment that has been requested, and carefully selected according to specific criteria.

Internships are generally unpaid. Students are responsible for their own transportation, food, housing, medical insurance and other personal expenses.

Meetings are held weekly together with the student and the employee to monitor progress and evaluation of work experience.

Internship Application Process
* Students must complete an application form and provide a resume. Criteria for selection will not include language knowledge as this will be extended during the preliminary Italian preparatory course.
* Description of the type of internship the student wishes to have indicating a field preference.

Insurance
During the Internship the school will take out for each student an insurance cover called INAIL (National Insurance Institute for Industrial Accidents)

Housing
The school will find housing for all interns for the duration of their language course and internship

Cours de Commerce - C

Notre cours s’adresse à tous ceux qui pour des perspectives de travail sentent le besoin d’approfondir leurs connaissances de la langue commerciale de façon pratique et efficace. Notre longue expérience nous a donné la possibilité d’élabheuresr un programme qui s’adapte aux exigences de nos étudiants.
Le cours est donc structuré de façon à tenir compte non seulement les problèmes de vocabulaire spécifique mais aussi, aux niveaux plus élevés, l’analyse des concepts base de l’activité économique et financière en Italie si utiles pour celui qui veut ou doit ouvrir une activité dans notre pays ou établir des rapports de travail avec l’Italie.

Caractéristiques de cours

CB - Cours Commercial Base

- 20 heures

Comme l’indique son nom, ce cours est propédeutique: il s’occupe du vocabulaire et des locutions utiles à tous ceux qui doivent écrire et comprendre des lettres commerciales, des fax, etc. Il comporte avant tout des exercices écrits. Ce cours n’est pas pour débutants.

CM - Corso Commerciale Medio

- 20 heures

A ce niveau on poursuit l’analyse du vocabulaire et l’on approfondit les divers langages sectoriels (économie, finance, exportation, etc.) tout en continuant les exercices écrits.

CS - Cours Commercial de Spécialisation

- 100 heures

A ce niveau on procède à l’analyse des concepts base de la vie économique et financière italienne en les confrontant avec la réalité des pays étrangers; ce cours s’adresse surtout au monde du travail ou à ceux qui ont l’intention d’ouvrir une activité en Italie, il est confié non seulement à des enseignants d’excellente réputation mais aussi à des maîtres de conférence qui affrontent et approfondissent les sujets de caractère monographique.

PRIX

Examens Finaux

A la fin du cours commercial de spécialisation les étudiants qui le désirent peuvent passer un examen, s’ils sont admis ils pourront obtenir une attestation de:
Certificat de Connaissance de la langue Italienne Touristique-Commerciale: CLIDA-TC.reconnu par le Ministère Autrichien de l’Education Nationale.
A tous les participants sera délivrée une attestation de participation aux cours.
