OSA Soccer & Language Courses

SOCCER PROGRAM

Kick-start your future with soccer!
OSA is located in a state-of-the-art facility minutes from downtown Florence, in the lush hills of Tuscany. The OSA program is open to girls and boys and is divided into age and gender groups. OSA courses will concentrate on teaching skills, tactics and fundamentals by implementing an intense hands-on approach. All OSA courses are offered in various languages by soccer experts, each with an ISEF or F.I.G.C. degree.

OSA soccer players will be supervised and coordinated on the field by Claudio Merlo, the famous Fiorentina team player who played over 500 games in the 'Serie A' Italian Premier League.

THE OSA CAMPUS

OSA is located just 7km from downtown Florence and can easily be reached by bus or train. A shuttle bus and/or train service will be provided for all participating enrollees.

The facility boasts 2 regulation sized fields, one in natural grass and the other in synthetic grass, 1 small soccer field, 1 gym, 6 dressing rooms, cafe-bar, 1 restaurant and 1 sport shop, a medical room and offices, as well as Wi-Fi access.

The OSA campus is shared with the Fiorentina's young professional soccer team, 'Primavera' della Fiorentina Calcio, as well as the 'Allievi' soccer team. This close proximity to professional soccer athletes provides a good opportunity for OSA students from around the world to observe and interact with them.

Calendar Courses

The courses are subdivided in the following manner:

• Technical Lessons (Explanation, Warm-up, Practice, Scrimmage, Cool-down)
• Tactical Lessons (Explanation, Warm-up, Practice, Scrimmage, Cool-down)
• Lectures on the following topics:
  • Soccer ethics and fair play
  • History of Soccer and Soccer regulations
  • Tactical methodology
  • Field Trip
• Italian Language Course
