Florence is easily accessible by plane, train, car, bus or ship.
By train The train station of Santa Maria Novella is located in the heart of the city, just a 10-minute walk from Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante Alighieri (CLIDA). The Intercity and Eurostar trains connect Florence to nearly all the major Italian cities, while Eurocity trains connect Italy's smaller towns to all European capitals. - To Florence: Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR) in Florence-Peretola is just 20-30 minutes by car from the city's center and offers connecting flights to most major cities in Europe.
- To Rome: Leonardo da Vinci / Fiumicino International Airport (FCO) is about an hour-long train ride to theTermini Station in central Rome. Trains depart from the airport to Rome every hour. At Termini Station, trains to Florence are available.
Rome's smaller Ciampino Airport (CIA) services domestic and some European flights. From the airport, take the bus to the Ciampino railway station. Then, take the subway to the Termini Station in central Rome. At Termini Station, trains to Florence are available.
- To Pisa: Galileo Galilei International Airport (PSA) in Pisa is an hour from Florence by train and has connections to many European cities as well as a limited number of North American destinations.
By Car
Thanks for an efficient network of highways, Florence can be easily reached in a few hours from Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Those traveling on Autostrada del Sole-A1 would take the "Firenze Sud" exit and reach the school in a few minutes.
